Crockpot Chicken Barbecue Sandwiches

I thought we’d start off very simple. So simple even a cave…well, that’s been done before and I don’t want to get sued so let’s just say it’s real easy.

What you’ll need:

2 lbs chicken (or however much you think you’ll need for the amount of people you have to feed. You can use any part of the chicken as long as it has no skin. Boneless is not necessary but helpful in the end.)

1-2 cups barbecue sauce (your favorite kind; I use Kraft Original flavor)

1 crock pot

First, put all the raw chicken parts into the crock pot.
Next, pour the sauce over the chicken.
Then, cover the pot and put it on low for about 6 hours. (It can go for as much as 8)
Finally, after 6 hours, shred the chicken with two forks removing any bones.
Serve on buns or other bread or just as is.

You can add a chopped onion to the chicken in the first step if you wish.

Uncooked chicken in the crockpot

Add the barbecue sauce, cover and cook.

After 6 hours it looks like this.

Put it on a bun and call it dinner.

Yummy!
